Why Sonosite

What began more than 20 years ago as a challenge to develop portable ultrasound for the U.S. military on the battlefield has evolved into an exceptionally focused mission to serve the courageous, visionary, and passionate healthcare workers on the front lines of modern medicine across the globe. As the originators and pioneers of point-of-care ultrasound, our purpose is as clear as one of our images: To enable clinicians and healthcare systems to continuously improve patient outcomes at the point of care by advancing imaging solutions.

Customer Support

It probably wouldn’t be accurate to talk about customer service as a “department” or “team” here at Sonosite. That’s because each individual is empowered to do whatever is best for the customer. Whether that means being on a first name basis with your Clinical Specialist, a sales rep rushing out a loaner system in a snowstorm, or a friendly voice walking through tech support, it’s an all-hands, whatever-it-takes mindset that infuses everything we do.

20 Years Of Sonosite

The Sonosite Story

Sonosite began when the United States Department of Defense awarded a DARPA1 grant to Sonosite’s parent company, ATL Ultrasound. The mission from the government was clear: Create an ultrasound machine portable and rugged enough to be carried into battle and brought to a trauma patient's side.

FUJIFILM Healthcare Solutions - Innovation for Better Patient Outcomes

FUJIFILM may be most widely known as a company dedicated to photography, but healthcare technology is rooted in the company’s very beginnings.

From early innovations in X-ray film to modern imaging technology, medical informatics, regenerative medicine, biopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals, the solutions FUJIFILM develops are for the purpose of improving patient care and outcomes.

Which Point-of-Care Ultrasound Machine Do Hospitals Use Most?

Sonosite is the Most Adopted and Considered POCUS Provider

Each year, KLAS - an independent healthcare research agency - interviews thousands of healthcare professionals about the products and services their organizations use. This year's KLAS report, Ultrasound Imaging 2017, shows that Sonosite is the most adopted and widely considered vendor for point-of-care ultrasound.
