BOTHELL, WA., July 8, 2015 – FUJIFILM Sonosite Inc. , specialists in designing cutting-edge ultrasound tools and world-leading education for access to point-of-care visualization, today announced changes in its executive leadership, effective July 1, 2015: Naohiro Fujitani was named Chairman; and Masayuki Higuchi was named President and CEO, succeeding Mr. Fujitani in this position. Both Mr. Fujitani and Mr. Higuchi have also been appointed to the FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. Board of Directors.

CHEST Awarded $250,000 Grant from FUJIFILM Sonosite for Expanded Educational Programs in the New CHEST Innovation, Simulation, and Training Center

Glenview, Illinois, October 27, 2014 – The American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) recently announced that it is the recipient of a $250,000 educational grant from FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. , which will support expanded educational programming and hands-on learning experiences for clinicians at the CHEST Innovation, Simulation, and Training Center. The grant, which will be paid over 5 years, will enhance CHEST training for clinicians across pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine in a variety of point-of-care diagnostic ultrasound techniques and guided procedures.

The grant will enable CHEST to provide training to clinicians through specialized courses, impacting patient care by improving participants’ clinical skills in the areas of ultrasound image acquisition and interpretation; critical care echocardiography; and focused thoracic and vascular ultrasound.
