behind the scan webinar series.

My name is Lisa Francia

and today we have an exciting presentation

and demonstration

of the new Sauna site PX workflow efficiency.

Before we begin, please be advised

that all attendees are muted.

This web webinar is being recorded and we will conduct the q

and a session at the end of the program.

So now it's my pleasure to introduce our

presenters for today.

To start, we have Audra Upton, who is the director

of clinical applications with over 13 years experience

with Fujifilm Cyte.

She graduated from the University of Oklahoma

with a degree in ultrasound

and is a registered cardiac vascular sonographer.

Audra and her team remain customer focused

and are specialized in the writing top level point of care,

ultrasound and education.

Next we have Marni Hemp.

Marni joined Fujifilm Sinai site six years ago

as a clinical specialist from the Canadian sales team

before transitioning to her current role as product manager

for our high-end product line.

She started her career as a radiographer

before transitioning to sonography, which took her career

to Australia where she lived and worked for 10 years.

During her time there, she specialized in OB vascular

and MSK ultrasound

and then joined Phillips Healthcare as a clinical specialist

before returning to Canada where she joined Fujifilm Cyte.

It's my great pleasure to introduce, introduce Marni

who will get us started today.

and thanks to all of you for joining us this afternoon.

I'm really happy to be here

and have an opportunity to speak to you about Sauna Site PX

and how it can help you in being more efficient while also

assisting in providing better care for your patients.

I'm gonna take you through a short introduction of Socy px.

Some of the features and functions

that we developed provide better workflow efficiency,

and then Audra is going to do a live demonstration

and dive a little deeper into

how these features can assist you.

SonoSite has a short

but rich history of pioneering point,

point-of-care ultrasound solutions that were developed

around meeting clinician's needs.

With Sona Light px, we are launching the first

of our next generation of point-of-care ultrasound systems.

This product is a brand new platform

built from the ground up.

It was developed to be innovative

and incorporates new technologies

and features to empower our clinicians to accomplish more.

This next generation

of Sona site ultrasound systems was founded on clinicians'

needs and developed to deliver solutions that assist

with overcoming real world workflow challenges.

The Sona site design team began with a systematic approach

to observe, engage,

and really immerse themselves in the unique environments

that point of care clinicians encounter.

As you care for your patients, they traveled

to sites all over the world to spend hundreds of hours

with individual clinicians as well as focus groups

to observe and understand their workflow, they returned

with more than 400 data points that

provided the foundation for the product development process.

The result of all of this engagement is Sona Site PX

designed to provide innovative solutions

to customers at the point of care

and their very diverse clinical settings,

assisting them in improving patient outcomes

by providing diagnostic confidence.

Sona I PX supports many different use models within both

hospital and office environments.

Throughout the development process,

we focus on improving access, providing clinicians

with confidence, all while keeping things

as simple as possible.

We realize these goals by making Sono site PX adaptable

to the many environments you provide.

Karen delivering sono site's best image clarity to date

and bringing efficiency to workflows for every user.

Sono Site PX addresses three key needs of the point

of care clinician for adaptability, image clarity

and workflow efficiency.

We listened to customers when they told us

how important image quality was to them.

SonoSite PX delivers the most advanced image clarity SOCY

has ever produced using a new proprietary respectful

reduction technology

and the introduction of a new family of transducers.

SonoSite PX was designed

to provide our clinicians an unparalleled level

of confidence to diagnose

and treat their patients with improved penetration,

faster frame rates, better tissue resolution

and color performance

that assist them in being more accurate and efficient.

Included as part of the SonoSite PX family

of transducers are the new L 12 three

and L 19 five linear transducers.

The L 12 three has been designed to do the work

of two previous cyte transducers, the HFL 38

and L 38, making it extremely versatile

with a wide frequency range

and a maximum depth of nine centimeters.

This transducer will be capable of exams on larger patients

and deeper structures while maintaining the near field

resolution required for more superficial examinations.

This allows for more flexibility

and the ability to do expanded use cases

with a single transducer solution.

The L 19 five is the highest frequency transducer sono

site has ever produced.

For traditional ultrasound system,

it provides incredible near field resolution along

with the minimum scan depth of one centimeter.

The footprint size of just 20 millimeters makes this

transducer ideal for superficial scanning,

including vascular access, pediatrics and MSK.

Every detail of an ultrasound solution is critical

to the way clinicians provide care

and this includes its physical design

with a small wheel base

and hybrid Bridget design

that provides an adaptable work surface.

Bonus light PX can find a place at the side

of the bed in your crowded rooms.

The ability to raise

and lower the system even when the front wheels are under

the bed, ensures that clinicians have access no

matter where they're standing.

The integrated and durable transducer holders are easy

to clean and design so they won't break or fall off.

The one set. A P physician share a pointing anecdote

that without fail the transducer he would invariably need

was the one he had just run over

and was now trapped under the wheels.

So does IPX provides transducer cable solutions

that keep the cords off the floor

and tangle free to ensure not just the system

but the transducers are available whenever they are needed.

Our customers told us they never have enough storage zones.

I PX provides lots of onboard storage for supplies,

including dedicated locations for wipes

and gel with an internal wifi module.

Lots of digital outputs and a triple transducer connect.

You can stay connected and have most trans used

transducers at the ready.

There are many situations when every second counts.

That's why Socy PX has been designed around every detail

of the way you work and deliver care.

Complex workflows have been removed

to lower the cognitive load by providing optimized layouts

and data entry that reduce button pushes.

Imaging has been optimized for each individual exam type,

providing quick access to image clarity

and management of all patient data is found in a single

location that integrates seamlessly

with the sono site synchronicity.

Workflow manager SonoSite PX is our first system

to include both touch and physical controls.

Physical buttons have quick

and persistent access to the most used functions,

providing simplicity where it's needed most.

Each raise button or group is uniquely shaped,

allowing clinicians to adjust

by a feel while remaining completely focused on

the patient and monitor.

This includes things like depth gain, freeze, and save.

So does IPX is available

with two different physical control panels

to support global languages

and includes touch panel support

for sever different languages.

It can be operated with both gloves

and a sterile drape to assist with the increased cleaning

and disinfection protocols clinicians

and hospitals are experiencing.

As a part of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the

Sun Light PX flexible touch panel welcomes you

with a familiar startup screen made famous by export,

making your first selection seamless and easy.

From the first interaction with Sonos IPX,

we have simplified the workflow.

The patient information page has been streamlined

and the most used data entry points have been

located above the keyboard.

Minimizing the need to scroll upon completion

of patient data entry, the clinician can move directly

to transducer and exam selection.

Selection of a translucent exam type reveals simple

and easy to use optimization controls that have been curated

to each specific exam type surfacing most used functions

when color or pulse wave doppler are engaged.

These choices will update

to expose specific selections for each of the modes.

By selecting the tab across the top,

you can access optimizations for each

of the active modes at any time

soon as the PX exam types have been designed

for plunk imaging optimize the display most use functions

as well as exam specific annotations and calculations.

Whether you're performing a cardiac

or MSS K study, the touch panel will provide you

with the controls to streamline your exam.

Calculations are also optimized based on your selection

and organized in a way

that makes 'em easily accessible based on

the goal of your exam.

So does I. PX introduces a focused cardiac exam type,

which provides a more targeted set of calculations

to choose from to improve your efficiency when using the

heart to diagnose overall patient wellbeing.

This includes our new volume status

and assisted cardiac output calculations,

which remove complexity when assessing

for fluid responsiveness.

Our final webinar of this series will take a deeper dive

into these measurements and you can join us on

October 7th to learn more.

The annotations included

for each exam type are comprehensive

and should ensure that you rarely have

to get out the keyboard making labeling your images a breeze

using gain to adjust your images has never been faster.

The new TGC gain control continues to offer the ability

to optimize near and far gain while adding a flexible

middle gain control.

This provides the ability

to make finer gain changes throughout the image while

keeping it simple and not slowing you down.

This is beneficial when there is enhancement

or attenuation within the image around structures such

as the gallbladder and tendons.

The new touch gain wheel allows for incremental image,

incremental image adjustments quickly

with a slide of a finger.

Overall gain can also be controlled at the bottom

of the TGC window.

Streamlining your in image optimization.

The auto gain is conveniently located within the gain wheel

and has been enhanced to improve uniform brightness

and adjust for both increasing and decreasing of the gain.

Finally, the workflow

to complete your exam within the patient data management

area can be accessed by selecting report

and worksheets button within the single environment.

Patient information can be viewed,

worksheets can be filled out, calculations can be verified

and edited and exam reports can be observed and saved.

This simplifies managing the pace

and information and exam results.

Workflow when synchronicity is integrated,

worksheets can be signed off

and transferred along with images at the end of the study.

The end study button is visible always in this view

and you can end the study from here when you've completed

your reporting tasks

and if you happen to power down the system

before ending the exam, the system will do it for you

before shutting down.

This will assist with ensuring your images get to

where they need to go and lower the chances

of multiple patients ending up inside of a single study.

I'm gonna pass off now to Audra Upton who's gonna do some

more live demonstrations

and further explore the workflow efficiency of Socy px.

- Thank you so much Marni.

As Marni said, my name is Audra Upton, I'm the director

for the clinical applications team.

If you had the opportunity to join us a couple of weeks ago,

then you got to see a broad overview of the cyte PX system.

Today we are gonna be focusing specifically on

workflow efficiency.

Before I move into the live demonstration,

I just wanna remind everybody some of the key features

that have been added and highlighted with the Sauna site px.

So automatically you can see

that the system is really a hybrid system,

so you will notice that it is that touch part, touch panel

and part tactile keys.

Taking a closer look at the tactile keys,

you will notice like Marni said,

that they are uniquely shaped and these tactile keys.

That was the intention

and it's so that

as a physician you can be focused on the patient

and on the clinical monitor

but be able to reach your hand back over

and feel the button that you need to adjust

and know with confidence

that you're gonna be making the correct adjustment.

I, this next feature is

probably one of my favorite features

and that's the hinge system that the,

that the system is built around

and that really does allow for the system

to be moved from a vertical orientation

to a horizontal orientation.

This really allows you to get that machine closer

to the bedside and adapt to your environment

and in in those tight spaces.

Next, Marni did mention the new cable management system.

I just wanted to point out that this has been a huge hit

with customers because what this does is one,

it holds those cables back and out of the way.

But one thing to note is

that when the system is actually down in its lowest

position, you cannot run over our cables and that is huge.

But let's say that you're scanning

and when you're scanning you need that extra length

of trans transducer cable to, to reach the area of interest

that you're trying to scan.

The system is designed where it's a very quick

and easy release of those cables so

that there's absolutely no damage to to those transducers.

There's also the dedicated wipes holder,

which we know is very important to have cleaning

and disinfection readily available.

And then of course those the the holder for the gel.

And then lastly just image clarity.

We've made huge inpro improvements

and our offering now our most advanced image clarity

and actually next week Bill Medford is going to be

leading that webinar and going to be doing a lot of scanning

and so you will be able to see

much deeper look into the improvements we've made

with image clarity.

Okay, so now we are going to move

to the live demonstration portion.

So what you're seeing now on your screen,

that is the interface of the Sauna Site px.

If, if you are a Sauna Site customer

and you have an export, then

that touch panel should look very familiar to you.

We call this our kiosk view and it should,

and what it means is that you should be able to walk up

to the system and know pretty, pretty easily

and pretty quickly where you need to go

to achieve what you want to do.

So you have scan, you have a place to go

and enter patient information.

You can select your transducer

or you can go onto our onboard learning for right now.

We're gonna access that patient information screen.

We have simplified the patient information screen so

that those most important parameters,

the information about the patient is there up at the top

so you don't have to scroll past the keyboard.

We also include where you can now access the transducer.

So if you maybe inadvertently hit the patient screen,

you can go to that transducer page,

you can see which three transducers you have plugged

in right now.

You can see we have the L 19 five transducer activated

and we're gonna just go ahead and get started

and we're gonna select that nerve exam type.

So we're gonna select it and then we're just gonna go right

into scanning, pointing out again that

that touch panel really is adaptable.

It adapts to what it is that you're doing

and it's gonna, it's going to adapt

really based on three things, the transducer

that you have activated, the exam type that you've chosen

and the mode that you're imaging in.

So right now, because we're a nerve, this is the interface

for 2D imaging of the nerve setting.

But a couple of other things is that

as we go into those modes,

you'll see it, you'll see it change.

We'll get to that here in just a moment.

Before I go deeper into the touch panel,

I do just wanna point out those tactile

keys down at the bottom.

These are those physical buttons

that are persistent no matter

what exam type you're scanning.

So you're always gonna want to adjust your gain

and your depth, take images

or access different imaging modes.

And so those are always gonna be hard set down at the bottom

of the system system.

Going back to that touch panel, some other things that the,

that the touch panel is designed to do is

to give you some other cues.

So what do I mean by that?

If you take a look, you'll notice

that the new patient button is actually green and that's

because though we accessed

that patient exam information page,

we didn't actually put patient information in.

And so if you find yourself, when you access a system

and you turn it on and that button is green, it means

that patient information does not exist.

So you do still have access if you hit scan,

you can still go back

and access that patient information screen.

So we're gonna go ahead and go back to

that patient information screen.

For this, we're just simply gonna type px, that's

what our patient's name is gonna be for right now.

We're then just gonna go right back to scanning.

What you will notice is that

that green button has now changed to gray and that's

because patient information exists.

You also see that the end study button has now come forward

on that touch panel and it's because we're now live

and active within a study.

And actually had we just gone ahead

and started scanning without putting patient information in,

once we took images, you would have noticed that

that touch panel, that button

that was once green would become gray,

but instead of gray like you see here, it would be gray

and it would have a triangle error symbol showing

that you've now taken images

yet patient information does not exist.

And so we're just trying to give you cues along the way so

that you know for sure whether

or not you've input patient information

and done so correctly.

Okay, so we are actually gonna go ahead and start scanning

and let me, I'm gonna go ahead and switch our view here.

So now what you see is you should see an ultrasound image

and in that lower left hand corner you see the interface

of the ultrasound machine.

Now I know that you can't read the buttons,

but really the purpose of that is simply to show that

as we make adjustments, you can see my hands coming in,

coming in and out of frame so

that you can have an appreciation truly

for what Marni mentioned.

And that's the plunk ability of our system

that our engineers have made it

where when you choose an exam type,

the system really has been optimized

for those anatomical structures

and you should have to do minimal button pushing.

But let's say that you want to adjust your image.

And so I wanna highlight just some of the new improvements

that we've made with the px.

So one of those is the TGC.

This is new to cy, it's certainly not new to ultrasound.

And so when I access TGC on the lower left of that,

of the persistent keys, you'll notice on that touch panel

it does bring up the TGC line.

So just pointing that out and then I'll go back to my image

because also on the image itself to the right of the image,

you also see that TGC line.

What this allows is for you

to really focus in your gain on the area of interest.

So I can drag that line from right to left

and I can make it brighter

or darker in the area that I would like to focus on.

Now don't worry, we still maintain very easy to use.

And so if you don't wanna use that

auto gain feature, which is located in the center

of the gain wheel, you can hit that, it's going

to optimize the gain based on the patient's tissue density

and give you a really good starting point.

So what we're seeing on this ultrasound image

is we're seeing two veins

and if you like do a quick compression,

you'll see those veins winking at us

and then we see that artery in the middle.

And just next to that vascular bundle,

we actually see a nerve.

And how I know it's a nerve is

because nerves tend to have what we call a cluster of grape

or a chocolate chip appearance.

The nerve sheath is wider

and the fascial of that nerve are are a little bit darker

or hypoechoic.

So let's say for this purpose you wanted to do a nerve block

and you were preparing to do that nerve block

and you took a look back at your control panel.

And because we're on the nerve exam type, you notice, okay,

well I have procedure mode, I have a needle guide

and I have something called needle profiling.

And let's say that someone that,

that you may be a newer user

and you don't know necessarily

what those individual parameters are.

Four, if you'll actually notice in in the upper right hand

corner of each of those options,

there's a little information, a little I.

And so at any point if you see a button

and you just don't know what that parameter would be used

for, you can tap that I,

and it's gonna give you a brief explanation.

So in this instance, procedure mode, it tells me

that turning on this control, disabled sleep mode,

automatic power off notifications preventing the the system

from interrupting my procedure, which is pretty awesome.

So you can x out of that, hopefully this will prevent

those button pushers in a department

that simply hit a button just to see

what a parameter will do,

but rather the system is actually educating people on

what parameters are for and just why you would use it.

Next I wanna show an improvement that we've made

to steep needle profiling.

So we're gonna go ahead and hit needle profiling.

Now you see two options

that really determines on the way you're gonna introduce the

needle on your image or or the position on the probe.

In this instance, I'm actually gonna be bringing my needle

in on the side that's opposite that dotted line.

Now if you've used sauna site products

before, you know that needle profiling is nothing new.

We have this on our previous products,

but one way that we've improved the workflow of that is

that this, this steep noodle profiling technology actually

auto detects the needle

and adjusts the angle of steering

of the beam based on the on the angle

of approach of the needle.

Previously you would've had

to hit a button on the machine saying medium,

shallow or steep.

This new technology auto detects and does that for you.

So all you have to do is simply turn that

that software on, that technology on at any point.

If you're ever on any screen

and you want to just get back out to black

and white imaging 2D imaging, you can always hit

that 2D button, which is in the lower right hand corner

of those tactile keys

and it will always bring you back to just live 2D.

Next thing that I wanna point out are just some additional

prompts that the system offers.

So I'm gonna go ahead

and activate color by hitting C on those tactile keys.

And what you will notice on the lower right hand corner is

it's telling me to switch that selection.

I simply hit the select button.

By doing that, it's going to allow me to make

that box bigger.

Once I've made that selection, I hit select again

and it locks it in place.

Again. Just another way that the cyte PX is, is anticipating

what it is that I'm wanting to do

and offering those prompts so that I can easily walk up

to the system and know how to operate it.

One other function that I want to point out

that's new on this system is a feature called Color Compare.

And this tends to be very popular if you're looking

for DBTs

or certainly in cardiac imaging

where we now have the ability

to compare two side-by-side images, one image with color

and one image without color.

I'm gonna go ahead and just save a couple of images quickly.

Again, those save options,

whether it's saving a still framed image

or a clip is located on the tactile keys.

And I'm gonna go ahead and switch over

and show you now that touch panel,

I'm gonna save one more image

and you will notice it go from two images

now to three images.

So again, from a workflow efficiency standpoint,

we are putting everything in one central location.

So as I've started taking images,

I can access those images really easily.

They're not hidden behind a menu.

So I simply tap the image that I want to take a look at,

that takes me automatically into the review screen.

I now see every that I've taken,

I can easily select the image that I want

to either delete the image

or maybe I want to send that image to A USB

because it's a really great image for educational purposes.

And so having the ability to do that easily

and seamlessly is really great.

At any point if you're done with that review screen,

you can simply hit exit review

or again that 2D button on those tactile keys

and it will always bring you back to live imaging.

Okay, so now what we're going

to do is we're actually gonna go ahead

and switch over our transducers

and we're gonna switch now to the phased array Transducer.

Marni mentioned this, but as you choose the transducer

and the exam type,

the system is automatically gonna change internal parameters

so that it is optimized.

So imaging parameters, optimization controls, annotations

and calculations are all going to be specific to

that exam type that you're choosing.

And it's so that it's removing information

that now doesn't matter to the exam type

and it's bringing in those options the most important

and bringing those to the surface.

So for right now, we're gonna go ahead

and just choose abdomen

and we're gonna go right into scanning.

So what you'll see now on the ultrasound image is

that it has switched over to

that phased array transducer scanning the IVC.

And then again, what we're gonna show now is just some

of those improvements from a workflow standpoint

to bringing the the most used annotations

or calculations to the forefront.

So I'm gonna switch back over to that control panel

and if I hit a b, c on the tactile keys,

this will bring up the annotations specific to abdomen.

And we've brought the, the ones

that are the most common are always gonna be

the ones up top.

Now you can scroll through

and this list of abdomen, it is a long list of everything

that you could possibly need if you were scanning

a patient's abdomen.

But let's say that yours being very specific

and let's say you're doing a fast exam addition

to the abdomen exam type, if you actually hit

that dropdown arrow next to abdomen,

you'll actually see a much longer list of available cal

or annotation packages.

So for this example, I'm just gonna go ahead and choose EFAs

and you will notice that is a much more simplified list.

It's specific to the EFAs exam, making it just very,

very easy to locate the annotation that you need so

that you can move on to the next portion of your exam.

Next I'd like to show you the calc.

So on those tactile keys, I'm simply going

to hit the calcs button

and you will see the calc specific to the abdomen exam type.

Oh, let me hit it one more time. There we go.

Now if you'll notice, they are grayed out and that's

because I'm live.

Let me switch back over to that ultrasound image.

We are live imaging

and so the machine knows I'm not ready to

to perform a calculation as soon as I freeze my image.

So go ahead, we're gonna go ahead and freeze.

You'll now notice that those calcs went from gray

to being white because now they are ready

to be used as a measurement.

If you'll also notice, our calc packages have all been laid,

laid out in a very streamlined fashion.

So broken it down by vessel, abdomen,

gallbladder measurements, renal specific measurements.

But let's say

that you have actually been scanning your patient and you go

and you are ready to do your measurement

and you realize

that you actually were scanning the patient on the

wrong exam type.

I know that I've gotten this call multiple times

over the years.

The the beautiful thing about the PX system is

that all is not lost.

Previously, if you had scanned on on the wrong exam type

and you had gone to a calc package

and you didn't have a cal kid available,

it meant you were gonna have to switch the exam type,

re-scan that that image, recapture it,

and then perform your measurement.

But not anymore

because now you have the ability

to go back into the all calc packages that apply to

that specific transducer.

So because we're using the phased array transducer,

you see I have access to cardiac

to focus cardiac GYN, the list goes on.

So in this instance, let's say

that you were scanning a mechanically ventilated patient

and you wanted to do a volume flow measurement.

And though the abdomen exam type had the ability

to look at the IVC for spontaneously breathing patients,

it's located under focused cardiac

or cardiac, the ability to evaluate a volume status

for mechanically ventilated.

So I went ahead and went to the focused cardiac package.

I'm now gonna go into volume status.

These first options again are

for our spontaneously breathing patients,

but under respiratory variation I have the ability

to access the dis extensibility index for the IVC.

So I'm gonna go ahead and just capture a quick measurement

and do a maximum and a minimum measurement

because I'd like to show you just what that looks like

after we've captured a measurement

and moved it into the report page.

As Marni mentioned on October 7th,

we're actually gonna be taking a much deeper dive within

some of our newest calculations.

I really would encourage everybody to join us for that.

We're gonna be looking at our new assisted cardiac output,

some of these volume status measurements

and how our system has the ability to look at a patient pre

and post a fluid challenge

and give you a percent change so that you can accurately

and with confidence know the steps,

you know the next steps in treating your patients.

So I did those measurements.

If you'll notice, once I save those measurements,

those measurements now appear on that touch panel.

Again, just another way that

that touch panel really does adapt to what it is

that I'm doing every step of the way as I move on.

Now I'm gonna go ahead

and I'm gonna, let's say I'm done with my exam,

but I wanna take a look at my report page.

That report button stays persistent on that touch panel.

I always have access to it.

And underneath that report page is management

of all patient data in one location.

So I can access patient information worksheet those calcs.

So if I wanted to go into the calcs button, then

that is going to let me look at the calculations I've

done here.

I could delete something if I didn't want it there.

But going under report, you will actually see

that it has put all of the measurements

that I've done into a report

and I have the ability now to save this as an image

that will actually save it

and put it within the image bank on the system.

And those images then will stay as part of

that patient record.

And then the last thing that I wanted

to mention was the learn function on the system.

If you had the opportunity to join us last week

with our physician panel, you would've heard them talk about

how education and point of care ultrasound is one

of the most important aspects of of the of the field.

Well, on the PX system,

we have over 150 onboard tutorials.

We're actually just gonna go into acute care.

Now, some of our videos in addition that we made is

that some of them now include pathology.

So for this example, we're actually gonna just access the

IV volume status since that's

what we're scanning for right now.

And what I wanna show you is that this PX system allows

for real time scan along.

So if I unfreeze my image, I can actually be scanning

a patient or a colleague as I'm practicing.

And then I have

that video playing real time on my touch panel as well.

This has been huge with residency programs, medical schools

fellows because it gives them the opportunity to scan along

and and make those manipulations on the ultrasound

machine real time.

I wanna thank everybody so much for taking some time

- Wonderful, thank you Audra

and Marni for such a great presentation and demo.

It's really fascinating to watch all of this.

I do have a few questions from the, from the audience here.

One is, if there is no patient information,

will the machine send the study to PAX

or is it mandatory to have patient information entered?

- So your PAX administrator probably is gonna be very happy,

but you definitely can send it to pax.

They would just have to go and then find it based on

more date and time.

But this is something that happens a lot in your practice.

You do have the ability in system settings

to generate a patient ID if you don't put one in.

And that can also be helpful for when you're trying

to find them when they're located,

where they're located on the PAC system.

- Wonderful, thank you. Because the part

of the system is touchscreen, are there options

to cover the system with a sterile drape or a cover?

- Great question. Yes.

And the system was actually designed so

that it could be draped and your hand can be gloved

and you don't lose any type of sensitivity of that,

of that control panel.

- Wonderful. Perfect.

And regarding annotations,

and I almost interrupted you Audra during this part,

but can you have more than one arrow to use for teaching?

For example,

- You can, this is new.

We can actually have up

to five arrows now on, on the screen.

- Wonderful. Very cool.

And then one other question, can we measure angles?

This is kind of something

that comes up in physical therapy and physiatry.

- You can. So we've actually got a new just basic general

angle calculation

and it's actually located underneath the caliper button

with some of the other basic caliper functions

like distance and volume.

- Perfect. Awesome.

Looks like those are all the questions right now.

We can maybe open it up for a few more minutes

to see if any more pop in.

Marnie Hamp joined Fujifilm Sonosite over seven years ago as a Clinical Specialist with the Canadian sales team before transitioning to her role as Product Manager for Sonosite’s high-end product line. Before departing Sonosite, Marnie worked with the marketing and product development teams to discover innovative ways to solve customer problems for the always changing landscape of point-of-care ultrasound.

Marnie started her career as a radiographer before transitioning to sonography, a move that gave her the opportunity to see the world and took her career to Australia, where she lived and worked for ten years. During her time there, she specialized in OB, vascular, and MSK ultrasound. Marnie later joined Philips Healthcare as a Clinical Specialist before returning to Canada and joining Fujifilm Sonosite. She left Fujifilm Sonosite in April, 2025.
