Teiichi Goto, Chairman
On February 1, 2016, Mr. Teiichi Goto, was inducted as the Chairman of Fujifilm SonoSite, Inc. along with continuing his role as Director of the Board. Mr. Goto is also a Corporate Vice President of FUJIFILM Corporation as well as the General Manager of its Medical Systems Business since 2013. Mr. Goto joined Fujifilm in 1983 and started his international business at Vietnam in 1995. Since then, he has held several international business positions such as Regional Marketing Manager in FUJIFILM Regional Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd., Managing Director of Fuji Medical Equipment (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., and Deputy Managing Director of FUJIFILM (CHINA) Investment Co., Ltd. On November 1, 2016, Mr. Goto was appointed to the FUJIFILM Corporate Board of Directors.
Masayuki Higuchi, President and CEO
On July 8, 2015, Mr. Masayuki Higuchi became President and CEO of FUJIFILM SonoSite. Most recently, Mr. Higuchi was Chief Financial Officer at FUJIFILM SonoSite. Prior to his position at FUJIFILM SonoSite, he was General Manager of Corporate Planning for FUJIFILM Corporation in Tokyo, Japan where he was responsible for strategic planning, subsidiary management and mergers and acquisitions. Before that, Mr. Higuchi was CFO at FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation.
Rich Fabian, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Rich Fabian joined FUJIFILM SonoSite in January, 2017, bringing more than 20 years of Healthcare leadership experience. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Fabian provides leadership and strategic direction to the sales, service, distribution, supply chain, and manufacturing teams. Prior to joining SonoSite, Mr. Fabian served with Philips Healthcare for 15 years where he held various executive leadership roles, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing for North America, Vice President and General Manager of a Global Business Unit, and Vice President of Marketing for Imaging Systems. He built high performing teams that consistently delivered strong business results. He earned his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
Diku Mandavia, MD, Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer
Diku Mandavia, MD, FACEP, FRCPC, joined SonoSite as a medical advisor in 2007 and currently serves as Chief Medical Officer for both FUJIFILM SonoSite and FUJIFILM Medical USA. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Southern California and was an Attending Staff Physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles from 1998-2010. Dr. Mandavia is a founding member and past-chair of the ACEP Ultrasound Section and co-author of the ACEP Ultrasound Guidelines. He has taught thousands of physicians worldwide, lectured at over 200 medical conferences and has been awarded ACEP’s Outstanding Speaker of the Year. Dr. Mandavia has also contributed to over 90 publications and is co-director of the national Resuscitation Conference. He received his medical degree from Memorial University in Canada, completed his residency at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Centre and is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Programme.
Gerald Ng, Vice President, Finance
As VP of Finance, Mr. Ng is responsible for leading FUJIFILM SonoSite’s worldwide financial planning, analysis and accounting functions. He also plays an integral role in developing the company's financial strategy with the rest of the leadership team.
Mr. Ng most recently served as CFO for Fluke Networks and has extensive medical device industry experience as CFO for Medtronic Physio-Control and VP of Finance for Spiration. Mr. Ng began his professional career at KPMG Peat Marwick and holds a BA from the University of Washington and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business.
Kai Fukuzawa, Vice President, Global Distributor Sales and Strategic Planning
On November 16, 2016, Mr. Kai Fukuzawa assumed two roles, Vice President, Global Distributor Sales for all worldwide distributor markets and Vice President, Strategic Planning. Mr. Fukuzawa was previously FUJIFILM SonoSite's Vice President Corporate Planning and Vice President, Sales for markets including Japan, China, India and Russia. Previously, Mr. Fukuzawa was General Manager of Medical Systems & Ultrasound Business in FUJIFILM China. He successfully established and then expanded the point-of-care business in the China market. Before that, he held various positions within the Corporate Planning Division of FUJIFILM Corporation as well as FUJIFILM Holdings in Tokyo, Japan for more than 11 years.
Brian Lee, Vice President, Research & Development
Mr. Brian Lee has over 28 years of medical device and healthcare leadership experience. Starting at ATL, Mr. Lee worked with R&D, manufacturing, product development, and technology research departments on product lines as diverse as ultrasound transducers, defibrillators, and electrocardiographs. Mr. Lee has served as Vice President on Philips, Siemens, and Quinton Cardiology leadership teams. Mr. Lee holds a MS in Physics from the University of Oregon. He frequently performs in the Seattle area with his blues band, Brian Lee & the Orbiters.
Gina Kelly, Vice President, Product Strategy and Commercialisation
As VP of Product Strategy and Commercialisation, Ms. Gina Kelly is responsible for FUJIFILM SonoSite's product portfolio strategy, product marketing, clinical engineering and technology, business development and training.
Ms. Kelly joined FUJIFILM SonoSite in 2005, since this time she has held various roles of increasing responsibility including Senior Director of Product Management, Director of Clinical Operations and Director of Global Training and Education. Before her time at FUJIFILM SonoSite, Ms. Kelly worked at Philips Healthcare for ten years in sales and clinical training and clinical support roles. Ms. Kelly is a registered sonographer, RDMS (AB, NE, OB/GYN), RVT, RDCS and has worked in the ultrasound field for over 28 years. She obtained her ultrasound degree at Mohawk College/McMaster University in Canada, a BSc degree in Neuropsychology from Trent University in Canada and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix.
Greg Nesbitt, Vice President, Global High Frequency
Mr. Greg Nesbitt has extensive commercial leadership experience and a compelling record of success in the pre-clinical and clinical medical imaging spaces. Mr. Nesbitt began his career with GE Healthcare where he spent 14 years in commercial leadership and corporate roles. He also served as Vice President for Wolters Kluwer Healthcare Analytics business providing advanced analytics and consulting to the pharma and life sciences sector. Mr. Nesbitt has spent the last 10 years as a Vice President with Philips Healthcare successfully leading large commercial teams. He most recently led Philips overall IDN commercial strategy and Enterprise organisation.
