Richard "Rich" Fabian joined FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. in January 2017, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Rich leads all aspects of the global business.

Long ago we recognised that the best chance any patient has at getting better is a physician at their bedside with all the right answers and the confidence to act.

Because Sonosite developed the first portable ultrasound for use at the point-of-care, we realised early on the importance education would play in this groundbreaking, life-changing technology.

Sonosite Global Health Programs

Since 2005, Sonosite has supported humanitarian efforts in developing countries by providing high-quality Sonosite equipment through loans or special pricing to qualified nonprofit organizations through its SoundCaring and other Global Health programs.

Sonosite SoundCaring and Global Health Humanitarian Programmes

For expectant mothers in a rural village, an ultrasound diagnosis can mean the difference between a safe and hazardous delivery. For children suffering from rheumatic heart disease in sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia, an ultrasound diagnosis can lead to life-saving treatment. Because our equipment is uniquely suited for these austere environments, we feel compelled to bring this valuable technology to those who need it most. We continue to be humbled and thrilled by the stories recipients tell us of how our systems are impacting their communities.

Our SoundCaring and other Global Health humanitarian programmes make Sonosite hand-carried ultrasound systems available to those working in remote, low-income communities with little or no access to necessary medical equipment.
