Why Choose Sonosite: Ultrasound Education

Long ago we recognised that the best chance any patient has at getting better is a physician at their bedside with all the right answers and the confidence to act.

Because Sonosite developed the first portable ultrasound for use at the point-of-care, we realised early on the importance education would play in this groundbreaking, life-changing technology.

Today, Sonosite is the market leader for point-of-care ultrasound education–providing access to continuing education for healthcare providers, resources to keep their memory fresh, and opportunities for them to refine their skills. No other point-of-care ultrasound manufacturer has committed as many resources into making sure clinicians have the highest degree of confidence when using ultrasound at the bedside.

Whether or not you’re experiencing the value of Sonosite machines, chances are you’re learning from us: on site, in workshops, on our SonoAccess app, in online videos and a host of other educational offerings.

As a customer, you’ll have even more resources, like exclusive access to segmented educational portals and clinical teams.

Sonosite's Global Health Programme

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 60% of the world’s population has no access to diagnostic medical imaging. Sonosite is working to lower that statistic..

Through our dynamic Global Health programs, we are bringing advanced ultrasound technology to patients and institutions that would otherwise have no access to this imaging modality due to social conditions, remote locations, or lack of funds. From steaming jungles to desolate mountaintops, our rugged, battery-operable systems can be used in virtually any setting—and they are.

Sonosite Global Health Programs

Since 2005, Sonosite has supported humanitarian efforts in developing countries by providing high-quality Sonosite equipment through loans or special pricing to qualified nonprofit organizations through its SoundCaring and other Global Health programs.

Why Choose Sonosite: Ease of Use

The practise of medicine is hard enough. The last thing you need is an ultrasound machine you can’t figure out how to use.

At Sonosite, one of our greatest technical achievements is ease-of-use. When you want to know what’s going on, or how to proceed, Sonosite makes point-of-care ultrasound that won’t block you with technical obstacles that slow you down. You get what you need, when and where you need it, so that you can provide your patient with the optimal care path.

Making it easy for you to do your job better is simply the Sonosite way.

Why Choose Sonosite: Durability

Sonosite ultrasound machines are built tough to be used all over the world, from modern hospitals in Mumbai to rural clinics in Western Australia. Sonosite ultrasound machines were originally built for military use, so battle-grade durability was a must. That’s why we drop them, bake them, shake them, and test them under extreme conditions.

SoundCaring

SoundCaring

Sonosite SoundCaring and Global Health Humanitarian Programmes

For expectant mothers in a rural village, an ultrasound diagnosis can mean the difference between a safe and hazardous delivery. For children suffering from rheumatic heart disease in sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia, an ultrasound diagnosis can lead to life-saving treatment. Because our equipment is uniquely suited for these austere environments, we feel compelled to bring this valuable technology to those who need it most. We continue to be humbled and thrilled by the stories recipients tell us of how our systems are impacting their communities.

Our SoundCaring and other Global Health humanitarian programmes make Sonosite hand-carried ultrasound systems available to those working in remote, low-income communities with little or no access to necessary medical equipment.
