Bedside Ultrasound for Clinicians

The Bedside Ultrasound for Clinicians is a unique hands-on experience to teach novice users point-of-care ultrasound applications. During a series of small group hands-on sessions, participants will practice capturing specific ultrasound views on live models and real patients under the guidance of experienced faculty. The hands-on sessions will be complemented by didactic lectures to improve the participants' knowledge of the indications, technical skills, and limitations of bedside ultrasound. Hospital Procedures Consultants

Hospital Procedures Consultants offers the Hospitalist and Emergency Procedures course is an ACCME-accredited two-day course that is continually updated, evidence-based, and offers 17 hours of Category 1 CME credit. The instructors are procedural experts with over 11 years of national teaching experience and have trained over 2,000 clinicians how to perform the 20 most essential procedures needed in the ICU, ER, and the hospital wards.

The course covers the following procedures: ultrasound-guided central lines, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and lumbar puncture and about 4 hours of hands-on ultrasound training on live models. In addition, the course trains you how to perform intraosseous lines, arterial lines, basic and difficult airway management, video laryngoscopy, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ventilator management, and procedural sedation. The ultrasound teaching covers both RUSH exams, E-FAST exams as well as ultrasound-guided procedures. Our didactics focus on indications, contraindications, complications and above all patient safety. In our skills labs, students rotate through simulation stations to hone their procedural skills.
