Target Audience: Emergency Medicine Physicians. Critical Care Physicians, Intensivists, Trauma Surgeons, Urologists, and other healthcare professionals who will be performing ultrasound examinations in the Emergency Department, Surgery, ICU or other medical or clinical setting.
Advanced Health Education Center’s Specialty Procedures in Ultrasound for Physicians on-site training is a one day advanced applications ultrasound training course. The course provides participates a brief overview of the fundamental knowledge and skill required to perform ultrasound procedures. The course is conducted with focused didactic lectures followed by supervised hands on scan lab with live models. The course topics include venous orientation and pathology to demonstrate DVT, cardiac pathology including ventricular enlargement, tamponade, pericardial effusion, and basic cardiac function. Ultrasound guided procedures including thoracentesis, pericardiocentesis and central line placement.
The course can be customized to the client’s needs based on the skill level of the participants. This course utilizes hands-on training with simulation phantoms, as well as live models. Registration fees will be determined by anticipated participants and location of training.
